Possible Risks & Side Effects

Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to treatment
- Do not use retinols, exfoliants, or active ingredients for 5–7 days before
- Arrive with clean skin—free of makeup, lotions, or SPF
- Shave the treatment area (if applicable) 24 hours before
Post-Treatment Care
Do:
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily
- Expect pigmented spots to darken and flake off naturally within 3–10 days
- Stay hydrated and avoid excessive heat
Don’t:
- Sun exposure, saunas, hot tubs, and exercise for 48 hours
- Picking or scratching at flaking skin
- Active skincare ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C) for 5–7 days
- Makeup for 24 hours, or until skin is no longer sensitive
